It has been our experience that, overall, Impatiens balsamina performs well in our area in a warm season planting. As plants began to age, they started to become less attractive, but were readily replaced by new Impatiens that had self seeded. We have found that balsam prefer to be in sun conditions over that of shade to perform at their best.
